JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: CONTRACTS MANAGER
REPORTING TO: NATIONAL CONTRACTS MANAGER
LOCATION: SOUTH OF ENGLAND, WORKING OUT OF OUR OFFICES IN EGHAM, SURREY.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
TO OVERSEE ALL INSTALLATION PROJECTS WITHIN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBITIES:
- Manage the installation of playgrounds in the South of England.
- Ensure that each project is carried out within budget and remains profitable for the business
- Develop working relationships with out sub-contractors who carry out installation which will include negotiating rates for carrying out the works.
- Making sure that sub contractors carry out installations to our required standards including management of on site health & safety and making sure all projects are run within the current health and safety guidelines.
- Cultivate successful working relationships with our area managers, keeping them informed of progress throughout an installation, especially if there are issues to report.
- Liaise with customers to agree installation schedules.
- Carry out pre-start site meetings and produce progress reports, site safety audits and completion reports during the process which will be distributed to the area manager and the customer.
- Be responsible for any making sure any additional costs are kept to an absolute minimum and establish procedures to take action to eliminate them.
- To ensure the highest levels of customer service are achieved and continually review contract procedures so that our customers receive satisfaction at all times
- Maintain a highly visible contracts department that gives our clients confidence in our work
- Achieve set targets for invoiced projects
General
The ideal candidate will have good negotiation skills and a sound knowledge of CDM requirements, an excellent administration background and first class customer service skills. Some quantity surveying experience would be an advantage. Site knowledge is critical and this will preferably be over numerous locations. They will hold a valid CSCS card and a Site Managers Safety Certificate and if not already CRB checked will be prepared to go through that process.
